I used to hate to sleep. I thought it was a waste of time. There was so much to be seen and done, and sleep just got in the way! I used to stay up watching tv and on the internet until ridiculous times in the morning, only to get yelled at by Chad for not sleeping.
Apparently becoming a parent makes you a lame-ass because all I want to do is sleep. If I could have someone watch the baby so I could go to the bar and have fun or have someone watch the baby all night so I could sleep, I would sleep. I no longer find anything on TV entertaining past 11 PM (Chelsea Lately) and usually fall asleep before I would even get to that time of night. Also, you would think that staying at home would allow me so many opportunities to sleep, and people have the nerve to tell you, "sleep when the baby sleeps!" Okay and then who is going to do my dishes? Vacuum my floor? Buy my groceries? Pump my breast milk? The very second Nathan falls asleep its like I go into panic mode. I furiously start cleaning, calling, e-mailing, plucking eyebrows, facebooking, blogging, because Lord only knows, this will be my only opportunity to do it!
Unrelated news: Husband's fitness test is in 5 hours and 15 minutes and I am so nervous for him that I want to vomit.

Doing nothing, you know how I roll...
So husband had drill this weekend. I worked at CJ Banks to help out with the big friends and family sale, Friday night, all day Saturday and all day Sunday. This meant I had to do everything with Nathan by myself all while working which I hadn't really done yet. When husband came home from drill yesterday he asked me how much the dogs have been out, and I said well as much as I could let them out with working all weekend and getting Nathan ready to take to be babysat. And somehow he managed to say that I "did nothing" all weekend. I've been a stay at home mom for like two weeks now and this shit is already starting?! This is coming from the guy who NEVER wants to let me leave without the baby!
Anyways, this is what Nate is wearing for Easter, my mom bought it at Kohl's and it is super cute:

I have to get around to buying his Easter basket and the stuff I want in it but I have to wait until Thursday for us to have money. BUMMER!!!
Also, I am so NOT ready to move to Arizona. Hopefully I will get to visit before we move so I can see what it is like and come to terms with it. I am however looking forward to the drive across country! I get to drive through a bunch of places I have never been so I think that is very cool. I am a little upset though because I found out that last week they were offering people places in California. Um... hello that was our preference, how did we not get it?!

In regards to being trapped indoors:
It sucks. I do feel trapped in this tiny apartment some days. Especially today, Chad stayed home sick from work, and all he has done is lay around and prevent me from going about my daily routine. He's had stupid PLANET GREEN channel on my tv all day, he's using my blanket and occupying the whole couch. And of course he also wants the dogs out, which drives me INSANE, they always wake the baby up.
In unrelated news, I planned on only breastfeeding until we moved into my parents house and we had more money to buy formula, but I frequent a breastfeeding message board and people keep posting crap that is making me feel bad and I think I should continue to 6 months. I might be more inclined to breastfeed longer, but I have had issues from the very beginning. The lactation consultant in the hospital told me my baby was hungrier than what I could give him and made me give him formula. Not a nurse, a LACTATION CONSULTANT. Which now I know is total crap, but at the time I listened. Then of course we had latch issues because they gave him a bottle on day 3, then I had oversupply issues, and I'm still using a damn nipple shield which is a pain in my butt. Other than this though I think I lucked out- Nathan is a very happy baby in general. You can tell he has a rather pleasant attitude, he is almost always easily calmed down when he cries, he is content (sometimes) sitting by himself, and he loves to talk to everyone! I wish he would wake only once in the night though... can we move on to that stage yet please?

This is my blog.
So I used to blog on myspace, but then everyone simultaneously stopped using myspace, so I stopped blogging. Then Stephanie said I should write a blog when I told her we were moving to Arizona and I was going to be a stay at home mom, and if I wrote it, she would read it. So we shall see if Stephanie actually reads it! ha
I figure I have like 5-10 minutes a day right now to blog. That is about the amount of time that Nathan can entertain himself. Everything I do is 20 times faster than I used to do it, not that I used to be slow, I'm just trying to cram everything I used to do in the time span of a few hours into a 30 minute nap time. This is what I have managed to do today: Change Nathan's outfit, put clothes on, find my flip flops, go to Meijer and buy a few things to eat and get money orders, put groceries away, do 3 loads of laundry, clean off the coffee table, go through some stuff on the console table, wash bottles and parts, fold a basket of clothes, and I'm about to take Nathan on a walk to the apartment office. That is actually A LOT compared to what I am usually able to do, some days I have to choose between cleaning and showering. Or eating and cleaning. Or showering and eating, etc.
Aaaand Nathan is about to have a meltdown because he has hiccups. BTW, his crabby baby nickname is Meltdown Marcus.
